How much does a destination wedding cost?
On average, destination weddings are less expensive than home-town weddings. Some weddings are free with your stay at the all-inclusive resort, while more customized lavish affairs may cost in excess of $30,000. To get a better idea of how much your dream destination wedding will cost, we encourage you to call or text us to schedule a complimentary consultation at (570) 599-1754 or email us at email@example.com
Are free destination weddings really "a thing"?
Yes! Free destination weddings are typical part of an all-inclusive resort stay at select resorts. Keep in mind that these celebrations are bare-bones and often exclude items that couples appreciate such as a private reception and photography.
Why should we use a travel planner for our destination wedding or honeymoon?
Both of these events are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities that shouldn’t be left to chance. Many of our couples come to us after wanting to plan the entire event themselves and then realizing that they’re in over their heads. We completely understand wanting to plan the entire thing on your own. In fact, we allow our couples to decide from the very first consultation just how much involvement they want to have with planning their trip. We are here to help with as much, or as little, planning as you would like.
By booking your destination wedding with Bea Amazed Weddings, you will receive a customized webpage with information for your guests, complimentary save-the-dates, exclusive savings for you and your guests on four and five star resorts, travel perks such as free rooms, discounted excursions, and reduced prices on flights, easy payment plans, the option for full planning services, and the comfort of working with a Certified Destination Wedding Specialist.
Perhaps the greatest reason to book your destination wedding or honeymoon with us is the fact that we have walked in your shoes. As a destination wedding couple, we understand and can sympathize with the process. We are also extremely accessible through text or email for those times where you start questioning things like, “what if it rains?” Don’t sweat, we have a plan for that too!
Will we be responsible to pay for our guests?
Current etiquette for destination weddings is that guests pay their own travel expenses. The couple is then typically responsible for paying for their guests experience on the day of the wedding (i.e. the ceremony, reception, and other celebration related expenses).
Where is the best place to host a destination wedding?
This depends on the couple! We invite you check out our most popular destinations to find out where the best location would be for the two of you to share your vows.
Will you be at our wedding?
We can be! This is at your discretion. We will discuss this option with you at your initial consultation.
How does your Honeymoon Registry work?
Couples booking their honeymoons with Bea Amazed Weddings will have the opportunity to register for extra amenities such as excursions, candlelit beach dinners, and upgraded room categories. In addition, couples can ask for additional funds to be applied to their reservation to help offset the costs of their trip.
We aim to make all of our travel experiences as stress-free as possible. We will provide you with a personalized webpage, registry cards to pass out to your guests, a gift tracker to keep tabs on everyone that donated to your fund, and an email notice for each contribution made. And unlike the big-box honeymoon registries, we don’t assess fees to you or your guest's for this service.
Which locations do you work with?
Most of our couples choose to get married in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean because of the incredible value. However, we also work with other destinations in Europe and the United States.
Do you only book destination weddings and honeymoons?
Bea Amazed Weddings books destination weddings and honeymoons. If you’re looking for a family vacation, group travel, Disney, anniversary getaways, or other trips, check out our sister business, Bea Amazed Travel.
When should I start planning my destination wedding?
It is best to start planning your destination wedding as soon as possible. Some dates book up to two years in advance. Until you place a deposit on your wedding date, another couple may book it before you!
What are the legal requirements for a destination wedding?
Legal requirements vary by destination. Some locations require couples to get married legally in their own city hall first with a symbolic ceremony on the beach to follow, while other destinations allow couples to get married legally on the beach. It is best to make sure you understand these requirements before booking. Of course we can help you with this also.
What is the difference between a private and semi-private reception?
A semi-private dinner typically takes place inside of a resort restaurant while other vacationers are also dining. A private reception is completely private, in a venue that is exclusive to the wedding party.
Can we bring out own minister/priest?
Legal ceremonies in destinations typically require a judge or local minister. Symbolic ceremonies on the other hand may allow for your own minister to preside.
Can the resort help us give out gift bags to our guests?
Most resorts charge a service fee to hand out welcome bags and gift bags to guests attending the wedding. We are able to assist you with ideas to cut down on this cost.
